MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A 23-year-old man has been convicted of possessing more than 100 images and videos depicting child sexual abuse material, authorities said.

Mark Anthony McKay Jr., of Trenton Road in Middletown Township, was found guilty Wednesday of possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility following a waiver trial before President Judge Raymond F. McHugh, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said.

McHugh deferred sentencing until June 25.

The investigation found that McKay previously worked as an educational aide, but authorities did not say for which school system.

Bucks County Detectives received a cybertip report in March 2022 from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), alleging a Dropbox user uploaded multiple videos and images depicting child pornography to the Dropbox server.

Officials with Dropbox provided detectives with McKay's name as the user who uploaded the images and provided his email address.

Detectives reviewed the videos and confirmed that they were child sexual abuse material.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for the Dropbox account, which was in Mark McKay's name, and reviewed 102 files, which contained child sexual abuse material. The videos and images from the original cybertip report were also located in the Dropbox account.

In July 2022, a search warrant was served at McKay’s home, where numerous electronic devices were seized, including a computer and McKay’s cellphone. Child sexual abuse material was also located on his cellphone.
