King faces up to 22 years in state prison.
Bristol Township Police said that King, who did maintenance work at the Village Lodge, showed up at the motel on Jan. 17 and doused a Lexus in the parking lot with kerosene, a criminal complaint obtained by Patch states.
When the car owner, King’s former boss, saw what was happening, he approached King, who allegedly sprayed the victim with kerosene and attempted to set him on fire, the complaint reads.
The man ran toward the motel office with King following him and threatening to kill him and “burn this place down,” the court affidavit said.
King then allegedly picked up an aerosol can of accelerant from his car, walked back to the Lexus, and used the blowtorch and the spray to create a flamethrower, which ignited the Lexus.
