Man Possessed Over 100 Child Porn Videos: Middletown Twp. PD
A New Jersey man faces prison time for child pornography possession while he was living in Langhorne, police said.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A 23-year-old New Jersey man has been sentenced for child pornography possession of over 100 videos, police said.
Mark Anthony McKay, 23, was sentenced Wednesday to 6-23 months in the Bucks County Prison and will be listed as a Megan’s Law Offender for at least 15 years, pending he remains free from any other similar arrests, Middletown Township Detective Lt. Stephen Forman said.
The investigation started in April 2022 with a cyber tip assigned to Detective Kevin Platenecky, a member of the ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Taskforce, relating to a Dropbox user uploading suspected child pornography to a Dropbox server.

After multiple search warrants, McKay — then living in Langhorne — was identified as the owner and user of the drop box, which held over 100 child pornography videos, Forman said.
Detectives and the ICAC Task Force in July 2022 executed a search warrant of an apartment McKay was staying at with a friend and his mother. Electronics & storage devices were seized and submitted for forensic analysis, police said.

During McKay’s interview, he disclosed that he worked as a teacher’s aide with special needs students in a high school environment.
Patch has reached out to Middletown Township Police for more details about McKay's school background.
McKay was found guilty in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas of Child Pornography, a felony of the 2nd degree and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, a felony of the 3rd degree, in October 2023.
That conviction was overturned relating to the representation McKay received from his defense counsel, and a new trial was ordered, Forman said.
On April 23, a new trial was held and McKay was convicted for a second time of the same offenses, Forman said.
