Mission BBQ To Open New Location At Former Pier 1 Imports Site
The popular barbecue chain will open its new restaurant at the former location of the Pier 1 Imports in Fairless Hills.
FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — A popular barbecue restaurant chain will be opening a new location at the former site of the Pier 1 Imports store in Fairless in July of 2022.
Mission BBQ will be opening its newest location in Falls Township, making its at 630 Commerce Blvd in Fairless Hills. The former site of a popular Pier 1 Imports, the company closed all physical locations last year after filing for bankruptcy, with the Falls Township location being one of 12 Pennsylvania locations to close.
The decision to allow this new location to open was granted by the Falls Township Board of Supervisors, who approved a waiver of land development for Mission BBQ to reuse roughly half of the former store location. The other half will be used by a currently named retailer.

According to Mission BBQ attorney Roger Sullivan, the new location will offer walk-in, takeout and dine-in options for customers, as well as curb-side pickup for those who wish to continue social distancing during the pandemic.
As part of the new development, a 510-square-foot covered outdoor eating area will be added to the side of the building that Mission BBQ occupies.
