CROYDON, PA — Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company will be releasing their latest beer, "One GIANT Coast", a collaboration with Giant Food Stores, on Friday, March 18.

The beer is described as a Double Dry-Hopped Imperial India Pale Ale with Apollo, Chinook, Citra, Idaho 7, and HBC630 hops.

"One GIANT Coast is a collision of ideas combining everything loved about West Coast Imperial IPAs - big, resinous, and crisp with bright citrus fruit character - with the favorite attributes of East Coast Hazy IPAs - juicy, tropical notes, and soft-as- clouds mouthfeel," the brewery said in a press release.

Described as a bold beer, Neshaminy Creek recommends pairing it with spicy meats and cheeses like pepper jack or habanero cheddar as well as hot capicola and Calabrese salami.

"The heat balances with the bright, juicy citrus of the beer for the perfect combination," the brewery said.

“I was really excited about the opportunity to create a new IPA with the folks at Giant, showcasing our best hops. We wanted to make a double IPA, around 8.5%, which I believe is the best canvas for showing off hops,” explains head brewer Jason Ranck.

The new beer's can artwork features a beach scene "with a beautiful sunset representing the
tropical notes of the IPA". The combination of sunglasses and a forest in the artwork showcases the East Coast origins of the beers with the West Coast tropical flavor profiles.

“I love hop flavor and my leanings are West Coast....clean, crisp, resinous," Ranck continued "I was really excited to finally use HBC630, an experimental hop variety from Yakima Chief that has loads of sweet fruit character with notes of Strawberry, Banana, and Cotton Candy."

The brewery describes it as a big idea for a big beer.

"When I was out for hop selection in Yakima last fall, I had the absolute pleasure of smelling Idaho 7 in the field and thought this would be the perfect combo.... Idaho 7's juicy stone fruit and sticky, resinous pine notes with the sweet fruitiness of HBC630. What a pleasure to be able to combine the best of both worlds."

The beer will also be sold in 16 oz four-packs for $10.99.
