CROYDON, PA — Bucks County is now home to the best Internation Lager thanks to Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company, which took home gold at the 2022 World Beer Cup on May 5.

The Croydon-based brewery, founded in 2010, was awarded Gold for its Warehouse Lager beer at the event, which is hosted and organized by the Brewers Association. Their beer, a Mexican-style lager at 4.5% alcohol, took first place over 231 entries in the International Pilsener or International Lager category.

Described as a pale-golden beer with a hint of German hops, the beer is available in cans and on draft at the brewery's taprooms in Croydon, Dublin, and New Hope, as well as at retailers such as ShopRite, GIANT, and Wegman’s. The brewery collaborated with GIANT to release their 'One Giant Coast' IPA back in March.

“As we celebrate our 10th anniversary this year, it’s an unbelievable honor to take home the top prize in the fifth most competitive category at the World Beer Cup,” says Head Brewer Jason Ranck. “We’re so proud of our entire team and extremely thankful to our fans and lager lovers who keep coming back to The Creek for more!”

Alongside Downingtown-based brewery Victory Brewing Company, Neshaminy Creek was only one of two Pennsylvania-based breweries to take home gold this year.
