Neshaminy Names New High School Football Coach

LANGHORNE, PA —The Neshaminy School District has appointed a new head varsity football coach for Neshaminy High School.

Nicholas M. Felus will join the coaching staff for the 2025 season.

He was appointed by the Neshaminy School Board at its meeting on Tuesday.

“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Nicholas Felus as the new head coach of the Neshaminy football program,” said Lisa Pennington, Neshaminy High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. “With his passion, leadership, and dedication to the game, we are excited for the future of our team under his guidance. Coach Felus brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence that will inspire our players both on and off the field. We look forward to seeing the hard work, determination, and success that lie ahead. I ask our community to join me in offering him and his family a warm Neshaminy welcome to Heartbreak Ridge.”

Felus joins the school district after serving as Penn Cambria High School's head football coach in Cresson since 2019. Before that, he was the top football coach at Altoona Area High School from 2016-2019 and the Offensive Coordinator, Quarterback, and Wide Receivers Coach at Coatesville Area High School from 2009 to 2016.

Felus is a graduate of Penn Cambria High School (Class of 1996), and Lock Haven University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education. He has a master's degree in educational leadership from West Virginia University.

In addition to his coaching duties, Felus has served as a high school and elementary classroom
teacher in Coatesville, and as an athletic training and development specialist.

In 2024, Penn Cambria finished with a 14-1 record, won their first District Championship in school history, and went to the PIAA state AAA semifinal round.

Felus was named the Coach of the Year by the Altoona Mirror and District 6 Coach of the Year by the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association for his efforts.

Felus replaces Steve Wilmot, who resigned on Jan. 23 after 20 years as an Assistant Coach and 10 years as Neshaminy High School's football coach.
