Neshaminy SD Educational Development Meeting: What To Know

LANGHORNE, PA — The Neshaminy School District will host its Educational Development Committee Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held in the board room of Maple Point Middle School, located at 2250 Langhorne Yardley Road in Langhorne.
As with other committee meetings, a review of prior meeting notes will be held, as well as an opening for public comment on agenda items.

One of the main subjects of this meeting will be the updates to the Curriculum and Instruction Program. Specific topics to be deliberated on include the program website, the multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS), updates to social-emotional learning programs, an update to the Middle School Reading Pilot, and updates to textbooks on science and geometry.
The 2022 summer program will also be discussed. The committee will discuss specific topics like an extended school year, summer school-credit recovery for students, and other programs that will benefit Neshaminy students over the summer break.

The committee will also discuss evaluations and considerations for pilot programs such as Spanish programs, K-8 social studies classes, and middle school math classes.
Another chance for public comment will be given before the meeting is adjourned.
