New Jersey Woman Killed In Interstate 295 Crash
PA State Police said a Washington Crossing man was also injured in the crash Sunday night on the highway in Middletown Township.
MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —A New Jersey woman was killed after losing control of her car on Interstate 295 on Sunday night, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Samantha Cote, 34, of High Bridge, N.J., was killed when her Toyota Matrix when she lost control after entering the Interstate 295 eastbound ramp in Middletown Township, State Police at the Trevose barracks said.
The car initially swerved right after hitting a sheet of ice before swerving left across multiple lanes before striking the metal guide rail. The car then bounced back into the lane of travel and lost control, causing it to spin 180 degrees.

It was struck by a Volkswagen Jetta traveling in the left lane before drifting right, blocking the right shoulder of the roadway, State Police said.
Cote was pronounced dead at St. Mary Medical Center. State Police said she was wearing her seatbelt, but that no airbags were deployed.

Ryan Murray, 25, of Washington Crossing, Pa., was also taken to St. Mary Medical Center to be treated for his injuries, which were not reported by State Police.
The Penndel-Middletown EMS, Langhorne Fire Department, and PennDOT assisted State Police on the scene.
