New Levittown Carwash Expected To Open This Summer
Levittown Car Wash, LLC is planned to open at the former Shell gas station location on New Falls Road.

LEVITTOWN, PA —A shuttered Falls Township gas station will be converted into an automated car wash this summer.
On Monday night, the Falls Township Supervisors approved an amended final land development plan for the long-awaited Levittown Car Wash, LLC, which is planned for the former Shell gas station at 8601 New Falls Road.
The proposition to expand the width of the carwash tunnel was brought forward to the supervisors. This will be done to accommodate the equipment required for the car wash; the plan will slightly increase the building footprint.

The plans also call for the existing car wash on the site to remain and for an addition to be added along with parking and driveway improvements. The 861-square-foot convenience store and four gas pumps would be removed to make way for an employee office and four vacuum stations under the existing canopy.
Representatives from the carwash said construction is expected to “start immediately” and continue for three to five months.

Supervisor John Palmer supported the completion of the plan, which was originally approved in October of 2021.
“That intersection has been sitting for a long time,” Palmer said of the old gas station.
Once renovated and reopened, the car wash will restrict access onto Hood Boulevard during peak
commuting hours. However, the car wash anticipates its peak use times to be around lunch time.
The developer plans on working with PennDOT to offer a one-way circulation pattern into and out of the car wash, which could mitigate traffic in the area.
