New Wawa Brew To Debut At Langhorne Beer Store Opening
Wawa's newest beer store location will be one of the first to offer the chain's signature drink with an adult twist.

LANGHORNE, PA - Wawa’s newest beer store location will be one of the first to offer the chain’s signature drink with an adult twist.
“Shore Tea,” a hard beverage combining Wawa’s Peach Iced Tea and Cape May Brewing Co.’s iconic brew, will debut at the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new Langhorne Wawa Beer Store (39 E. Lincoln Highway) on Thursday, according to Wawa representatives.
The Langhorne store opening will take place at 8 a.m., followed by Wawa and Cape May Brewing Co. tee-shirt giveaways and a meet-and-greet with the drink’s brewers James Fox, Director of Brewing Operations at Cape May Brewing Co. and Michael McLaughlin, Wawa’s Senior Manager of Concept Development.

Shore Tea will begin retail sales on Monday, July 25, according to Wawa representatives. A six-pack of 12 ounce cans with 4.5% ABV is set to retail for $12.99.
The Langhorne location is far from the first Wawa to offer alcoholic beverages: the chain began selling beer in 2019, according to the Bucks County Courier Times, with locations in Richland, Middletown and Bristol touting liquor licenses, to name a few. The N Easton Road location in Doylestown is pending approval for a license, the publication wrote.
But the company still plans to expand its reach in alcohol offerings. The Philadelphia Business Journal reports that an extensive beer selection will be a part of the new store concept that Wawa has started to roll out in its “aggressive” growth plan. The company aims to double its number of nationwide stores as part of an eight-year expansion plan, which will see another 1,800 locations by 2030.
The new stores planned through 2030 will be a mix of "traditional" and "non-traditional;" storefronts, such as rest-stop style outposts and standalone drive-thru stores, Wawa CEO Chris Gheysen told the publication.
There are already over 260 New Jersey Wawa locations, with about 965 stores nationwide.
