Thunderstorms, Gusty Winds, High Temps In PA’s Monday Forecast: NWS
Summer-like temperatures just short of record-highs and possible evening thunderstorms are in the cards for PA on Monday. Here's the latest.
PENNSYLVANIA - Ahead of Thursday’s official start to autumn, the region is slated to see summer temperatures just short of record-highs and possible thunderstorms.
Temperatures are expected to reach the high 80s, per the National Weather Service, and are set to drop into the high 50s by Monday night. A weak cold front passing through the area will bring the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms with gusty winds Monday afternoon into the evening; an isolated severe thunderstorm is also possible, forecasters said.
As of Monday morning, all Pennsylvania counties including and west of Lancaster, Berks, Schuylkill, Lebanon, Luzerne and Pike counties are under a hazardous weather outlook.

"Isolated thunderstorms capable of producing strong to marginally severe wind gusts are possible today," forecasters said.
The region slated to see the most impacts from the possible storms are areas along and northwest of the I-95 corridor, National Weather Service forecasters said in a morning discussion. However, some models point to storms reaching as far as the southeast Lehigh Valley and far northwest New Jersey.
