Pennsbury To Choose Board President After Chaotic Year
Pennsbury will formally organize its leadership at the coming meeting, where public comment will be permitted.
FALLSINGTON, PA — The Pennsbury Board of School Directors will be hosting a special meeting to reorganize the Board and elect a temporary president on Thursday, Dec. 2.
The special meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and can be watched live on YouTube by those that can not attend. It will be held in the Fallsington Elementary School Multipurpose Room, located on 134 Yardley Avenue.
The reorganization is in compliance with Article IV, Selections 402 and 404 of the Public School Code.

Public comment will be allowed before any elections happen. The school district has made headlines in the last year regarding these public comments, with one heated session with the Pennsbury School Board resulting in a lawsuit by four local men against the Board for alleged restriction of free speech.
The School Board has been embroiled in controversy due to various decisions and subsequent negative public backlash to their decisions regarding safety measure for COVID-19 and other subjects which have resulted in further lawsuits.

The Board will be electing a temporary president, who will be announcing the list of Board members for the coming year. The temporary president will also oversee the movements for the election of the full-time President, Vice President, and Assistant Secretary.
Following the Nov. 2 election, Democratic nominees maintained a lead for the six open seats on the Board.
