Route 1 Barrier Removal Overnight Monday
PennDOT said the work will go into Tuesday morning on Route 1 underneath the Interstate 295 interchange.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Barrier removal will take place in both directions on Route 1 near the Interstate 295 interchange on Monday night into Tuesday morning, PennDOT said.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the barrier removal is planned on Route 1 underneath Interstate 295 in Middletown Township under a $37.4 million project to perform high-priority repairs on interstate bridges, and maintain the functionality, safety, and mobility of the structures along critical corridors.

- Monday, Dec. 22, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions approaching the I-295 Interchange.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
