Pinewood Drive Reconstruction To Take Place In July
Falls Township Supervisors named the road as the next project for their 2022 road program, with bids for construction to open by mid-June.
LEVITTOWN, PA — As part of Falls Township's 2022 road program, supervisors named Pinewood Drive as the next road to see reconstruction this year.
Falls Township Supervisors authorized the advertisement of the road program during their meeting on Monday. A full reconstruction of the road is expected to begin in July, with bids by construction companies to open by mid-June.
Township engineer Joseph Jones says the bids will open around June 15 and that construction will hopefully begin by July 20.

Supervisors also approved the use of services from Jones Engineering Associates. The Township plans on utilizing its services from 2024 to 2029.
The engineering company will be used for future road reconstructions, including about 50 roads in the Thornridge and Vermillion Hills sections of the Township. The project is expected to cost $28.1 million. That is roughly $4.7 million each of the six construction seasons.

The services provided by the company include surveying and base mapping, pavement core sampling and underground utility verification, engineering design, and bid administration. The total cost of engineering services related to the improvement program is projected to be $3.9 million.
