Police Arrest Man In Bristol Borough Shooting

BRISTOL, PA — Police in Bristol Borough have arrested a man they say shot another man in the leg in November on Spring Street.

Police had gotten an arrest warrant for Jason Ford in April. After continuing to investigate, detectives learned that Ford may be staying in a hotel in New Jersey, according to police.

The Lawrence Township Police Department monitored the hotel and eventually found Ford, police said Wednesday. When confronted, the tried to run away, but officers caught and arrested him, according to a news release.

Ford is charged with attempted criminal homicide and other crimes in the Nov. 27 shooting.

At about 8 p.m., officers were called to an apartment on the 900 block of Spring Street, where they found a 37-year-old man who had been shot in the leg. The man was treated at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.

Ford is being held at the Mercer County Jail, where is his facing additional charges. He will be extradited to Bucks County to face the charges against him here.
