Police Taser Man Who Followed Girl From Bus Stop In Middletown Twp.

Middletown Township Police responded to a suspicious person report on Forsythia Drive North on Thursday afternoon.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A man is in custody on stalking charges after police said he followed a girl from a bus stop on Thursday and had to be tasered after not cooperating with officers.

The unidentified man was charged with stalking, resisting arrest, defiant trespass, and other related charges.

Middletown Township Police responded on Thursday afternoon to Forsythia Drive North near Full Turn Road for a report of a suspicious man who had followed a girl from a nearby bus stop.

Police said the girl sought help from a neighbor, who safely assisted her and contacted 911.

Officers located the man, who attempted to flee after refusing commands. Police said he was taken into custody after being tasered.

The man was evaluated by rescue personnel and taken to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment.
