River Road Repairs To Last Over A Month

PennDOT began work on sections of Route 32 starting on Monday. See what areas are under repair below.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Sections of River Road will be closed this week as PennDOT performs work on the state road in Lower Bucks County, a project expected to last for over a month.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that pavement repair and resurfacing operations will close sections of Route 32 (River Road) starting Monday in Yardley Borough, Lower Makefield Township, New Hope, Plumstead, Solebury, and Upper Makefield Township.

Weather permitting, drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through late July.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $5 million project to perform selective base repairs and micro-surfacing overlay and install line/legend painting on sections of Route 32 (River Road/Delaware Avenue), U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike), and Knights Road in Bucks County.
