Road Resurfacing Planned In Lower Bucks Co.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has road resurfacing planned this week in two operations are planned on several state highways in Bucks and Chester counties, under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

• Monday, March 17, through Monday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 213 (Maple Avenue/Bridgetown Pike) between Bristol Road and Old Lincoln Highway in Northampton, Middletown, and Lower Southampton townships, Bucks County, for a maintenance hole adjustment.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
