State Sen. Steve Santarsiero has been named to the transition team for Democrats who will take control of the Bucks County Board of Commissioners next month.

Commissioners-elect Bob Harvie and Diane Ellis-Marseglia appointed Santarsiero chairman of their transition committee's energy and environment review subcommittee. In the volunteer role, Santarsiero, who represents much of lower and middle Bucks in the state senate, will lead the committee's focus on ways those issues impact the county.

"I am honored and excited to work with a distinguished team of local leaders on energy and environmental issues to offer the Bucks County commissioners a comprehensive set of recommendations for action to preserve our environment while also promoting sustainable development," Santarsiero said.
