Serial Cigarette Carton Thief Sought In Bucks County: Police

Joshua Burden, 43, is accused of stealing cigarette cartons on four separate occasions over the last month, Falls police said.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA - Falls Township authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspected serial cigarette carton thief.

Joshua Burden, 43, has boosted cigarette cartons on four separate occasions over the last month, the most recent of which occurred on Monday, Falls Township police said in a statement.

“On each occasion he enters the store, asks the clerk for two cartons of Newport Cigarettes after which he pretends to pay while the employee bags the merchandise,” Falls police said. “He then grabs the bag and flees to a car parked in a separate location.”

Burden currently has ten active warrants for his arrest, police said. He is described as a white male with blue eyes standing at 6'1".

“Burden has been using two vehicles police are aware of, a dark green Jeep Liberty, and in today's incident, a green Honda CR-V with a temporary New Jersey Registration and with the driver's side window broken, covered with plastic,” Falls police added.
