Sesame Place Is Celebrating A Birthday. How Old Is The Amusement Park?

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Sesame Place Philadelphia kicks off its 45th birthday celebration and debuts its new Sesame Street Birthday Parade on Saturday.

The celebration begins Saturday with the amusement park’s 45th Birthday Kick-Off Party, which includes a special performance from everyone’s favorite furry friends, party games, birthday crafts, and giveaways starting at 10 a.m.

Free Sesame Place birthday stickers will be available at Mr. Hooper’s Gift Shop and the Sesame Place Store. Giveaways are first-come, first-served, while supplies last.

Guests can gather at Oscar’s Wacky Taxi Stage for a very special performance from everyone’s favorite furry friends to kick off the 45th Birthday Celebration.

The new Elmo Birthday pin and the new 2025 Ambassador Exclusive pin series will be available for trade at the park’s first Pin Trading Event of the season! Season Pass Members exclusively can trade until 12pm, when the event will open to all guests. Additional pin trading opportunities will be available at retail locations throughout the park!

Season Pass Members can stop by the Sesame Place Party Room to receive their April Reward, a Sesame Place pencil! Giveaway is first-come, first-served, while supplies last. One per valid Bronze, Silver, Transferable, Gold, or Platinum Sesame Place Philadelphia Season Pass Member.

At 3 p.m. Saturday, the new Sesame Street Birthday Parade takes place.

The parade will debut with three show-stopping performances, including the interactive “Birthday Shuffle” song and dance that gets the whole family singing and dancing along!

The fun doesn’t end there — daily festivities will continue through the spring and summer, with even more furry fun during the park’s birthday month in July.
