Shooting Suspect Caught After Search In Falls Twp. Woods
Falls Township Police said a shooting in a camper on Thursday night led to a search in the woods and a shelter-in-place order being issued.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A Bucks County man was captured in a wooded area as police used a thermal image search to find him after a shooting prompted police to issue a shelter-in-place order on Thursday night.
The Falls Township Police Department responded at 8:30 p.m. to the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Morrisville to investigate a report of a man with a gunshot wound to an upper extremity.
Police said a 67-year-old Bristol Township man was in the wooded area of the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where a 65-year-old man lived in a camper.

After what police say was a dispute between the two men, the 67-year-old man sustained the shooting injury and retreated to the roadway, police said.
Meanwhile, the 65-year-old man fled the camper for the woods.

Falls Township Police, and police departments in Morrisville Borough, Lower Makefield, and Middletown Township Police searched the deeply wooded area as a shelter-in-place advisory was issued.
Falls Township Police said Philadelphia Police Department's aviation unit conducted an unsuccessful FLIR thermal image search.
Falls Township Detective John Vella got in contact with the 65-year-old man on the phone and successfully negotiated his return and cooperation.
The 67-year-old man sustaining the gunshot wound was transported to Capital Health in Trenton, N.J., with non-life-threatening injuries.
As of this time, police said there are no charges in the shooting as police investigate the incident.
