Snow Emergency Declared In Falls Township

Falls Township has issued a snow emergency Tuesday due to an expected storm bringing snow accumulations to the region.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —Falls Township has declared a snow emergency due to a storm bringing snow accumulations Tuesday night into Wednesday.

With the latest forecasts predicting about three inches of snow, the township is issuing a snow emergency starting at 8 p.m. Tuesday until noon on Wednesday.

All vehicles, boats, trailers, etc. must be moved off all township streets onto your property so emergency vehicles and plows can safely navigate down your street.

Here's the full forecast, according to the National Weather Service:

Tuesday: A chance of snow after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 36. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tuesday night: Snow, mainly before 3 a.m. Low around 29. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Wednesday: A slight chance of snow before 10 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow between 10am and 4 p.m., then a chance of rain after 4 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 37. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Wednesday night: Rain. Low around 34. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: A chance of rain before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 49. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 37.

Friday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.
