St. Mary Seeking Donations Of Medical Supplies

Preparing for an increase in coronavirus cases, the hospital is asking for critical supplies needed to test for and treat COVID-19.

LANGHORNE, PA — St. Mary Medical Center, the 374-bed hospital that is conducting coronavirus testing in Langhorne, is asking the public and local businesses for some help treating the outbreak.

On Monday, the hospital posted on social media, saying that it is accepting donations to support its response to COVID-19, which health experts have said could overwhelm the nation's hospitals and other medical providers.

In the post, St. Mary said it is seeking the following items:

  • PAPRs
  • Regular Masks
  • N95 Masks
  • Face Shields
  • Gowns
  • Surgical Caps/Protective Caps
  • Eyeglass Shields/Goggles
  • Nasal Testing Swabs
  • M4 Viral Media
  • Lysol or Clorox Wipes
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Transparency Sheets

A donation center is being set up in the Carty Conference Center, which is behind the hospital to the left of the emergency room. St. Mary is located at 1201 Langhorne-Newtown Rd.

The donation center's hours will be Monday-Friday, from 8 a..m.-4 p.m.

As of Sunday, there were 41 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Bucks County, with two people hospitalized in critical and serious condition. Nearby, there have been cases reported in Newtown, Bristol, Lower Makefield, Upper Southampton, Lower Southampton, Middletown and Bensalem.
