Accused Oxford Valley Mall Shooter Arrested
A Philadelphia man has been charged in connection with the June 19 shooting at the mall in Middletown Township.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A Philadelphia man is in custody in connection with the June 19 shooting at the Oxford Valley Mall.
Middletown Township Police arrested Shannon James Lewis, 33, of Philadelphia on Friday.
Officers responded the night of June 19 to the JC Penney bus stop area, where a man had been shot in the forearm. Investigators determined the suspect approached the victim, exchanged brief words, and then fired a revolver without provocation before fleeing, police said.

Using surveillance footage, transit records, cell phone data, and witness statements, detectives identified Lewis and obtained arrest and search warrants.
On Friday morning, detectives — with assistance from the Philadelphia Police Department — took Lewis into custody at his home.

A revolver believed to be the weapon used in the shooting, which was found to be stolen from a Bucks County resident, along with clothing matching what Lewis was seen wearing that day, were recovered during the search.
Lewis is charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and Possessing an Instrument of Crime. He was arraigned and held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $750,000 bail, 10 percent.
