My daughters 3rd grade teacher this past year.

What does this person teach?

3rd grade at Penn Valley Elementary School.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Ms Surdys understanding of her children is none like I’ve ever seen in a teacher. She really gets on their level and helps them however she can. She advocates for them and comes up with the best solutions that work for the children and the parents. The atmosphere of her classroom is so comfortable and inviting. My daughter was so sad to leave 3rd grade this year because she loves her so much!

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

She is so kind, compassionate, understanding and loves her children.
