How do you know the teacher?

I am her sister and am lucky enough to teach at the same school with her.

What does this person teach?

Title 1 Math (math support)

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

My sister has been teaching for 35 years and says she would like to teach for five more years! We both teach in the same school district that we were once students ourselves. Dawn is an amazing teacher who is a role model to other teachers, her students and myself. She also teaches during the afterschool program and the summer school camp. Whenever someone needs help, she is always there!

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

When she was 15 she played for Bristol Boro All-Stars in the Little League World Series in Kalamazoo, Michigan along with myself and Lynn Ciotti, who also teaches at Snyder-Girotti. Mike Lalli was our Coach and is a retired teacher from the Bristol Boro School District. Even though we came third place, my sister always reminds people that we beat the championship team!!🤣
