Teen Rescued From Mud At Lake Luxembourg: Report

A 14-year-old girl stuck in the mud at Lake Luxembourg in Middletown was pulled to safety following a Labor Day rescue, per a report.

MIDDLETOWN, PA - A teenage girl stuck in the mud at Lake Luxembourg in Middletown was pulled to safety following a rescue operation on Labor Day, according to a Levittown Now report.

At around 5:25 p.m. on Monday, firefighters from Langhorne-Middletown, Penndel and Newtown fire companies used a 24-foot extended ladder to remove the girl from waist-deep mud, the publication wrote.

The operation lasted around 15 minutes, Penndel firefighters added.

The teen was transported to St. Mary Medical Center for evaluation, with Levittown Now reporting that the 14-year-old was not seriously injured.

Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company chief Frank Farry told Levittown Now that a bystander tried to rescue the teen, but was unable to. The teen was at the park with friends and had been trapped in the mud for around 45 minutes, Farry added.
