US Marshals Capture Fugitive In Bristol On 'Party Bus' Charges

A total of 15 others on the bus, which carried illegal weapons, were arrested, according to a report.

BRISTOL BOROUGH, PA — A Trenton man was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Bristol Borough on Tuesday. Bristol Borough Police assisted in the arrest.

Joshus Chavis, 21, was arrested at the home of a family member on Lafayette Street on Tuesday morning. U.S. Marshals, with the assistance of the Bristol Borough Police Department and the New Jersey State Police Department, took him into custody on a fugitive from a justice warrant related to an arrest in November of 2021. He was taken without incident.

According to court records, Chavis was indicted in January on second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, as well as third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm without a serial number, fourth-degree possession of hollow nose ammunition, fourth-degree unlawful possession of large-capacity ammunition magazines, and other related weapons charges.

Much of Chavis' warrant is related to his alleged involvement in the arrest of 15 people on a "party bus" which was found to contain various illegal weapons, according to WPG Talk Radio.

Chavis was turned over to New Jersey authorities from Bristol.
