Winter Storm Warning Issued For Lower Bucks Friday: See Forecast
Forecasters issued a winter storm warning; snowfall is scheduled to begin Friday morning and could bring 5-6 inches of accumulation.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Forecasters have issued a winter storm warning for Lower Bucks County beginning Friday morning, as another storm bringing heavy snow and dangerous driving conditions heads to southeast Pennsylvania.
The winter storm warning will be in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday in Delaware, Philadelphia, Chester, eastern Montgomery and Lower Bucks counties due to dangerously icy conditions, and the chance of 5 to 6 inches of snow accumulation.
Travel could be very difficult, with hazardous conditions impacting the morning or evening commute, said forecasters.

Snow is expected to begin between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. Friday, continuing throughout the day with the steadiest snowfall from late morning into the afternoon.
“Almost the entire area will see accumulating snow,” the NWS said, adding that most counties will see 2 to 5 inches of snowfall, although between 4 and 6 inches of accumulation is possible for some localities in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Snowfall is expected to taper off from west to east late Friday afternoon through Friday evening, though forecasters said that freezing or near-freezing temperatures are expected to linger through Sunday.
"Plan on slippery road conditions," the National Weather Service said. "The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Temperatures will rapidly drop into the teens late Friday night. Any untreated roads will become icy and dangerous."
The new storm will trigger “deicing operations as the snow spreads across the major airport hubs and the smaller regional airports,” according to an AccuWeather report. “Flight cancellations will mount as airlines fall behind schedule and crews and aircraft are displaced.”
"This will be a colder storm than most have grown accustomed to in much of the Midwest and the Northeast in that the lower ground and air temperatures combined with the fluffy or grainy nature of the snow will quickly accumulate on streets and highways," AccuWeather meteorologists said.
Earlier this week, some communities around Lower Bucks including Levittown and Langhorne saw 2.5 inches of snow, and Warminster registered 2 inches according to National Weather Service estimates.
Here is the forecast through the weekend for Lower Bucks County, from the National Weather Service:
