Woman Burned In Bristol Township Fire
The 40-year-old woman, who remained hospitalized on Monday, was trapped inside her home during the Friday fire.
BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A Bristol Township woman remains hospitalized with burns after getting trapped in a house fire on Friday.
Firefighters were called at 6:14 a.m. Friday to the 90 block of Oaktree Drive, according to township Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito. When they got there, someone who had escaped the fire told them a woman was still trapped inside.
Firefighters got into the home and found the 40-year-old woman trapped in a bedroom. They pulled her out and got her to paramedics, Dippolito said.

She was taken to St. Mary Medical Center, then transferred to Temple University's burn unit in Philadelphia. Dippolito said Monday morning that she was being treated at Jefferson University Hospital and is expected to be discharged in the next couple of days.
He said he determined the fire started in a rear bedroom and that the cause was unknown.
