Witnesses to the murder say a short male approached Wilson and shot him several times as he stood and after he fell to the ground.

The shooter got into the passenger seat of a dark-colored sedan with tinted windows and fled the scene. Investigators found that the car had been parked in the corner of the parking lot for at least a half-hour prior to the shooting.

The Investigating Grand Jury handed down a presentment on Thursday night, recommending that Brown-Rodriguez and Brown be charged with conspiring to and committing the murder of Christopher Wilson; Supervising Judge Raymond F. McHugh accepted the presentment.

Wilson, the father of nine children, had been romantically involved with Brown-Rodriguez since 2018, according to the investigation. However, he had cut off the relationship and told a co-worker he was going to contact her estranged husband about their affair, according to a Grand Jury presentment.

Wilson moved out of Philadelphia and into the apartment of his current girlfriend at the time of the shooting. Investigators found that Brown-Rodriguez had gone to his workplace multiple times in an attempt to talk to him the day before the murder. A co-worker of Wilson said that they got into an argument about her persistence and that she keyed the word "Child" onto his car.

All the while, she was talking to an acquaintance of her son about purchasing a firearm.

Investigators found cell phone evidence that Brown was in the vicinity of the recycling plant from 5:10 a.m. until the shooting on Dec. 10.

The two will be prosecuted by District Attorney Alan J. Garabedian.
