YMCA Brings Athlete Academy to Fairless Hills
YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties is launching the first Athlete Academy in Fairless Hills, offering the first two sessions for free.

DOYLESTOWN - YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties is launching the first Athlete Academy in Fairless Hills and will offer the first two sessions for free. The group training program is designed for young athletes to improve their speed, agility, strength, balance and coordination.
On Mondays January 2 and January 9, 2023, youth ages 10-12 are invited to try the class from 6:40-7:25 PM, and teenagers ages 12-15 are offered the class from 4:00-4:45 PM. Those who choose to register for the program will meet weekly at their respective times.
Athlete Academy is a collaboration between the YMCA Health & Wellness and Sports & Play departments, led by Lead Trainer William Lacewell. Sessions include strength-building exercises and competitive games, highlighting sport-specific movements while building healthy habits.

“I’m excited to be kicking off 2023 with our Athlete Academy,” said Andrew Yannarella, vice president of operations for the Fairless Hills branch of YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties. “There are so many families with young, talented athletes in the Lower Bucks area, and what better way to hone your skills and abilities than with the professionals who have developed this special training course at the Y.”
