10 Candidates Will Run For Five Seats On The Spring-Ford School Board
The school board approves an annual budget, oversees policies, sets tax rates, and hires a superintendent.

SPRING-FORD, PA — Ten candidates were elected in Tuesday’s primary election to run in the November election for five seats on the Spring-Ford Area school board.
All 10 candidates have cross-filed on both the Republican and Democratic ballots. School board members serve four-year terms.
The school district is divided into three geographical regions., covering 44.4 square miles in western Montgomery County and eastern Chester County.

The district covers Limerick and Upper Providence township, and Royersford and Spring City boroughs. There are 7,882 students in the district.

Region 1: Upper Providence Township, includes Mont Clare and Oaks
Democratic primary:
- Heidi Goldsmith: 1,339 votes, and 304 Republican votes
- Margaret D. Wright: 1,296 votes, and 328 Republican votes
Republican primary
- Tony Folino: 627 votes, 193 Democratic votes
- Kathleen Leto: 577 votes, 379 Democratic votes
Region 2: Limerick, portions of Upper Providence
Democratic primary:
Theresa Westwood: 1,191 votes, and 362 Republican votes
Dr. Sagar Sharma: 1,096 votes and 183 Republican votes
Republican primary
- Michael Lebiedzinski, 1,013 votes, and 192 Democratic votes
- Kathryn Jones: 984 votes, and 372 Democratic votes
Region 3: Royersford, Spring City, portions of Limerick
Democratic primary- David Laky: 710 votes, 194 Republican votes
- Kathy Morris: 545 votes, and 342 Democratic votes
