Norfolk Southern Issue Causes Road Closure In Royersford Sunday

Traffic patterns are now returned to normal.

ROYERSFORD, PA — Main Street in Royersford was shut down for about an hour on Sunday morning after a railroad crossing stop arm began to malfunction.

The incident occurred at around 11:15 a.m. at the Norfolk Southern tracks.

It was caused by a blown fuse, which caused the stop arms to cease working properly.

Drivers were detoured to 2nd Street and Arch Street while repairs were underway.

The road was reopened by about 12:15 p.m. and traffic patterns have returned to normal.
