3-Alarm Fire Battled In Spring City Sunday

SPRING CITY, PA — A three alarm fire raged in Spring City on Sunday amid high winds, causing significant damage to a local business.

The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. on the 20 block of Riverside Drive at the Sustain Self Storage building.

Responding crews encountered heavy flames coming out of the facility.

No injuries were reported, though crews from around the area were needed to help extinguish the blaze.

The fire led to the closure of Bridge Street for hours as first responders worked on the scene.

The full extent of the damage is not yet known, nor is the cause of the fire. An investigation is underway.
