Book Sale In Church Gym Offers Old Library Books For 25 Cents
Limerick Chapel's book sale will gather thousands of items in the gym, and asks you to bring a bag for the books you buy.
LIMERICK, PA — Discarded library books can be treasures, and visitors to Limerick Chapel's gym next week can take home their picks from among thousands of used books, many for only 25 cents.
Books will included used fiction, non-fiction, reference works, literature and other discarded library books. The sale is happening at 378 W. Ridge Pike, in Limerick, beginning Monday, Aug. 24 and continuing through Saturday, Aug. 29. On Tuesday and Thursday the sale will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other weekdays, the hours are 4-7 p.m. The sale will be on all day Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and books will be only 10 cents on that, the final day.
Visitors should follow the signs and enter through the side door of the gym, and are asked to observe social distancing while at the book sale. The organizer of the event said, "If you have been feeling unwell or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please reconsider attending this event."

Most of the books are from the library in the school that formerly was part of the Limerick Chapel.
Visitors should also bring their own bags or boxes to bring home books.
