LIMERICK, PA— Limerick Township supervisors this week tabled a decision on an expansion plan for Chick-fil-A at 70 Buckwalter Road.

The expansion calls for adding a second drive-thru and expanding the kitchen.
Traffic engineer, Patrick Downey, of Dynamic Traffic, Newtown, said the key improvement is the drive-thru addition which will triple the amount of vehicles to 36 at one time.

Downey said the Chick-fil-A drive-thru was not as busy when it opened in 2015 as it is today.
When Chick-fil-A opened in Limerick, the first 100 customers who showed up were given a wristband to receive a free Chick-fil-A meal once a week for a year.
Julia Han, a lawyer representing Chick-fil-A, said the expansion will ensure that customers get their chicken quicker and traffic issues on the site are resolved.
Under the proposal, parking will be removed on the east side of the building, and two lanes will be provided.
New lines will be painted to provide easier access.
The Chick-fil-A employees will be taking orders on iPads and bringing the food out to cars. The plan also calls for a new trash disposal area.
