Free Hazardous Waste Disposal Events Upcoming In Montco
Free disposal of dangerous waste items is allowed at the upcoming events.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Montgomery County has scheduled several free household hazardous waste collection events this summer around the area.
"Household hazardous waste is material that can be dangerous to human health and the environment if not disposed of properly," organizers with county government said. "It includes flammable liquids like old gas and oil; toxic solids and liquids, such as pesticides and herbicides; and reactive chemicals like chlorine for pools."
An event was held last weekend in Norristown. The schedule for the remainder of the year is as follows:

- Saturday, June 28 - Abington Middle School, 2056 Susquehanna Road, Abington, PA
- Saturday, September 20 - Spring-Ford 9th Grade Center, 400 South Lewis Road, Royersford
- Sunday, October 12 - Lower Merion Transfer Station, 1300 North Woodbine Avenue, Penn Valley
