Holiday Scavenger Hunt: Saturday, Dec. 17
A variety of festivities are available for holiday fun in and near the Spring Ford School District.

SPRING FORD, PA —Looking for some festive activities to enjoy with family and friends?
On Saturday, Dec. 17 children are invited to a Scavenger Hunt followed by hot chocolate and ice cream treats.
Royersford Holiday Decoration Seek & Find: 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Handel’s Ice Cream, Chestnut Street Park and Victory Park’s basketball court. A Scavenger Hunt will be given out at each location along with hot cocoa and treats. Show your answers to win a prize.

Here are some other fun activities available:
- Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular by Dietz & Watson: Today through Dec. 31 is at the Fairgrounds at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks. The event features huge light sculptures and displays powered by more than 1.2 million lights. A skating rink will be a new addition to the festivities this year.
- Carnival of Lights: Today through Jan. 1 in Pottstown. The western Montgomery County borough will have more than 250,000 lights in sync to your favorite Christmas songs, as well as holiday amusement rights, pictures with Santa Claus and more.
- "It's a Wonderful Life": Colonial Theatre, 227 Bridge St., showing at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18.
- Longwood Christmas: Kennett Square's world-renowned Longwood Christmas features dozens of holiday trees, 500,000 light and fountains. Tickets are required to visit the holiday displays. More information is available here.
- Christmas at Colonial: Holiday light show 5 to 8 p.m. through Dec. 26 at Colonial Gardens, 745 Schuylkill Road, Phoenixville. Tickets are available here.
