Limerick Gift and Garden Plans Grand Opening
The new Limerick Gift and Garden will hold their grand opening on March 23 and 24.
An old friend has a new face on Ridge Pike. Limerick Gift and Garden, formerly Oaks Garden Center, opened on Friday, March 1. Owner Joe Dudek said they moved locations due to the development and the tearing down of the Oaks building.
The new location, located at 280 Ridge Pike, will not provide the bulk products like the Oaks location, however Dudek said the gift portion of the business will play a more prominent role.
Dudek said Limerick just recently rezoned the area of Ridge Pike they moved into for commercial, with the intention for it to be the next Skippack Village, and the family wanted to get into Limerick early.

The building they are currently in is over 100 years old and they have restored it and much of the property, as well.
The location offers annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees and more, and is constantly getting in a new selection throughout the season. Dudek said they hand-select the plant material they carry and truck it back to the shop, so they know they are getting the best quality plants possible.

In the gift shop, they are carrying items that other shops don't carry, including pre-made and made to order wreaths for all seasons, garden items, gift items, flags and more.
Limerick Gift and Garden is more than just a store, too. They offer landscaping services and consultation services, as well.
Dudek told Patch that the business is all family owned an operated. Many of the family members had a background in landscaping or had worked for the previous owner of Oaks Garden Center and when he wanted to sell, they jumped at the opportunity. He said his sister, who had previously run a gift shop for someone else, is now managing the "gift" portion of Limerick Gift and Garden" and he and his father, both had previous business experience, owning a construction company and a dry cleaning business respectively.
The shop is open seven days a week, 362 days a year, only closed on Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving. Hours change seasonally can can be found on Facebook.
Limerick Gift and Garden will hold their grand opening during the weekend of March 23 and 24, with door prizes, refreshments, and a wide variety of their spring plant selection will be available.
