Limerick Generating Station is 21 miles northwest of Philadelphia. With both units at full power, the site can produce enough carbon-free electricity for approximately 2 million homes.

LIMERICK UNIT 2 RETURNS TO SERVICE POTTSTOWN, PA (July 31, 2012) — Exelon’s Limerick Generating Station Unit 2 returned to full power at approximately 10 a.m EDT today following replacement and testing of a steam relief valve to improve plant reliability.

Limerick Generating Station is 21 miles northwest of Philadelphia. With both units at full power, the site can produce enough carbon-free electricity for approximately 2 million homes.

Four-day shutdown followed a "scram" event on Friday
