Moms Talk

Got a question of interest to area moms? Send questions you'd like to see published and answered to editor David Powell at david.powell@patch.com.

Moms Talk is a new feature on Limerick Patch that is part of a new initiative on our Patch sites to reach out to moms and families.

Limerick Patch invites you and your circle of friends to help build a community of support for mothers and their families right here in your community.

Moms, dads, grandparents and the diverse families who make up our community will have a new resource for questions about local neighborhood schools, the best pediatricians, finding the best day cares and the thousands of other issues that arise while raising children.

Moms Talk will also be the place to drop in for a talk about the latest parenting hot topic. Do you know of local moms raising their children in the Tiger Mother's way and is it the best way? Where can we get information on local flu shot clinics for children? How can we help our children's schools weather their budget cutbacks?

So grab a cup of coffee and settle in as we start the conversation today with a question from Terri S., of Montgomery County.

Terri asked: “I really need some help. My child has had three colds this winter, each with an accompanying fever. I really need to be able to call in his allergy medication refills and pick up his prescriptions, but with my work hours, I can’t often make it during open hours at a pharmacy. Do you know any where around here that has a 24-hour pharmacy? I’m willing to drive a little but, but what can I do in this situation?”

Sure, Terri, we can help!

There aren't very many 24-hour pharmacies in the region, but Spring-Ford residents are fortunate to have one within a 20-minute drive.

The CVS Pharmacy at 1833 E. High Street in Pottstown, just east of Pottstown Memorial Hospital and the Sunnybrook Ballroom, is open 24 hours with full pharmacy service. Call the pharmacy at 610-327-4304.
