Mud Wrestling, Baking Contest on Tap for Keystone Grange Fair

The event will be held Friday and Saturday at Waterworks Park.

The 41st Annual Keystone Grange No. 2 Country Fair will be held at Waterworks Park in Trappe on Saturday and Sunday, featuring mud wrestling, live music, hot air balloon rides, a baking contest and much more.

According to Gene Zvarick of the Grange, Friday will include lots of food, a pet show, children’s activities and a Billy Patrick Concert beginning at 6 p.m.

At 5 p.m. on Friday, a pet show will take place, which will decide on dozens of categories, including the fattest cat, dog with the largest feet, best fathered pet, and a look-alike dress up contest.

On Saturday, guests will enjoy a helicopter fly in, a tethered hot air balloon, a pie eating contest, kids activities, antique cars and tractors, and more.

At 11 a.m. on Saturday, Rachel Claire Hough will be crowned the 2013 Grange Fair Queen, and mud wrestling will begin at 4 p.m.

A baking contest will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, and Cups N’ Cakes will judge the best-looking and best-tasting cakes and pies.  Submissions are due by 3 p.m.
