National Night Out Coming Next Week

National Night Out, a community event to promote crime prevention, police-community partnerships and neighborhood spirit will happen in both Royersford and Spring City on Tuesday, August 7, 2012.

will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. near in Royersford, on Washington Street between Third and Fourth Avenue. 

According to their Facebook page, Royersford's event will have food, games, entertainment, raffles and prizes. Many local businesses are sponsoring National Night Out by donating food and items for prizes or raffles. 

Local first responders and other emergency personnel will also be participating in the event.

Spring City's event, sponsored by the Spring City Lions Club, will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at . Several activities are planned for this event, too. 

As discussed at a, the Spring City Masonic Lodge will be offering child identification kits which include ID, a DNA sample kit and fingerprints.

Fingerprinting will be done by the Spring City Police Department.
