Embrey Dental Is Offering Compassionate, Individualized Care In Central Montgomery County
Embrey Dental bills itself as offering 'concierge-style' care. The Royersford practice is run by husband and wife Pete and Rose Lim.
ROYERSFORD, PA — Pete and Rose Lim opened their Montgomery County dental practice a little more than a year-and-a-half ago, right smack dab in the middle of a global pandemic.
Their goal was to bring a practice with a big city feel to a smaller, more tight-knit community.
After searching around, they settled on the town of Royersford.

Fast forward to today and the couple opeartes Embrey Dental, a thriving dental practice whose goal is to offer 'concierge style' service to their patients, who the couple views as more than just revenue generators.
"We just try to spend a little more time with each individual or each patient that comes in the door ... and just try to form relationships within the community itself," Pete Lim told Patch in an interview.
The Lim's spoke with Patch on Thursday about their business, which they hope adds value to the Royersford and surrounding community.
The couple has been able to successfully leverage social media, with Pete's TikTok videos getting thousands of views and helping to bring in new patients.
Pete said one of those videos even got an impressive 21,000 views.
They thought the videos would help bring in more young people, but, somewhat surprisingly, those who came strolling through the doors to sign up came from more of an "adult population," the couple said.
Pete said doing the videos is also a good way to show folks what the dental practice looks like inside before prospective patients step foot inside the building, a way to offer a more personalized introduction.
"It's also a great way to get a tour, get a sense of the office," Pete said of the videos.
Aside from their goal of offering top-notch, individualized care, the Lim's also pride themselves on working to benefit the greater good.
A practice they instituted involves taking money from each new patient signup fee and putting it toward the purchase of a duffel bag designed to benefit foster children, who are often taken out of their homes with their belongings stuffed into mere plastic bags.
The goal, the couple says, is to help kids in the foster care system who often feel unloved and unappreciated.
For this initiative they partnered with an organization called Fostering Hope, which runs the program Dignity Duffels, designed to provide duffel bags to kids as they are moved from one foster home to another.
The Lim's also parner with other local businesses. They have a referral program at their dental practice whereby existing patients who end up referring new patients are treated to gift cards at area establishments.
When they're not working, the couple is raising their three kids in their Delaware County home. The little ones are 7 years old, 4 years old and 7 months old.
The dental practice is actually named after their two daughters — Emeline and Aubrey — with the name of the business constituting a merging of the two girls' first names.
The Lim's also have a son — the youngest child — but they joked that they couldn't fit his name anywhere in the name of the business.
"Maybe he won't figure it out," Rose said jokingly about the boy.
As for settling on Royersford, the couple said they couldn't be happier with their choice of location.
"The community is really nice, the people are fantastic," Rose said.
In addition to Pete and Rose, two other individuals work at the dental practice — a front-desk individual and one dental assistant.
The Lim's also wanted to point out that they try to be as environmentally friendly at their practice as possible, which takes the form of utilizing toothpaste and floss that are biodegradable.
