Online Sex Talk With Chesco Minor Results In Arrest Of Oregon Man: DA

SPRING CITY, PA —A 57-year-old Oregon man was arrested Thursday on charges of sharing child pornography on the Internet with a Spring City girl, beginning when the girl was 14 years old and ending on her 18th birthday, prosecutors said.

Charles Robbins of Eugene is free on $50,000 bail after being arraigned before District Judge John Hipple on charges of unlawful contact with a minor and producing child pornography.

Police said in the fall of 2013 the girl met Robbins through the app Omegle.

The victim told police they would Skype and use Facebook Messenger to send nude photographs.

Police said Robbins would teach the victim about sex acts and ask her to model her mother's

lingerie.

The relationship ended when the victim mailed the defendant a note on her 18th birthday, and subsequently blocked his phone number, police said.

“This case is another unfortunate example of how child predators lure their victims in through an online presence," District Attorney Deb Ryan said. "He corrupted her innocence and trust for his own sexual gratification."

Subsequently, county detectives learned that the defendant became involved in similar online relationships with other unknown female juveniles.
