Pennsylvania Dems To Hold Hearing On Biases In Court System
The talk is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus and the state Senate and House Democratic Policy Committees.

HARRISBURG, PA — State Democrats will hold a virtual public hearing on Friday morning to discuss biases along gender and racial lines found within Pennsylvania's court system.
Representatives Donna Bullock and Summer Lee of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus will headline the talk along with Senators Sharif Street and Anthony Williams. The event will also be hosted by the state Senate and House Democratic Policy Committees.
“Members have requested this hearing to build off the continuing efforts of the Philadelphia City Council and Councilmember Kenyatta Johnson to work toward justice in the Philadelphia court system,” according to a statement from the event organizers. “This joint policy hearing will examine racial and gender bias experienced or observed by groups who interact with the court system including judges, lawyers, staff, advocates and the public.”
