Pink Boots Around Royersford Are For Breast Cancer Support

ROYERSFORD, PA — If you see a pink boot at Wawa or Starbucks in the weeks ahead, it's part of a team effort between the Royersford Fire Department and a non-profit called Helen's Angels.

The two have partnered for Breast Cancer Awareness month, coming in October.

Helen's Angels is 501-c3 non-profit that focuses on providing support for those affected by a breast cancer diagnosis, both women and men, and their families.

Royersford Firefighter and EMS Supervisor Bree Godin spoke virtually today with Helen's Angels President and CEO Missy Quinn, who explained the mission of Helen's Angels.

"Bree, 2020 has been a tough year on everyone, but cancer didn't stop. And unfortunately women, men, and families are still struggling with this diagnosis," said Quinn.

Royersford Fire Department is doing a Pink Boot Drive, so the Helen's Angels collection boots may be seen at Wawa or Starbucks. Godin said 100 percent of money collected will go to Helen's Angels.

Helen's Angels is an all-volunteer organization, so no overhead costs, all funds go directly to support, Quinn said.
